With the Next Generation Interceptor (NGI), our mission is to develop, produce and deliver a modern, never-fail weapon against increasing and evolving ballistic missile threats from rogue nations. NGI is a first line of defense, tip-to-tail interceptor within the Missile Defense Agency’s Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) system.

Our unique maintenance and sustainment concept will increase availability and reliability of the NGI fleet, helping to ensure the GMD system is ready when it matters most.?We've taken a lifecycle view of NGI's design and selected an approach that simplifies shipment, sustainment and maintenance – the careful planning we’re doing right now is designed to lead to reduced labor and a significant reduction in operational downtime.

In April 2024, Lockheed 肛交视频 by the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) to develop NGI. Together, we will provide a new, advanced interceptor to protect the homeland against long range ballistic missile threats from rogue nations.

Our NGI solution has begun a transition from the technology development phase to the product development phase.?We are also working on qualifications of the design, verification through ground and flight testing, and maturation to enable our customer’s production decision and fielding.

We believe our solution leads to best value for the taxpayer, preserving inventory by providing more capability with efficiencies, upgradability, and sustainability so the warfighter can stay ahead of current and future threats.

The NGI Program has been digital from day one, meaning the digital technologies we use have enabled us to do the work of a traditional program, but more efficiently. Through this digital approach, we make engineering decisions faster, validate changes easier and more transparently, and preserve schedule.

Additionally, we are investing in new, modern production and system integration facilities specifically designed for the NGI mission. These purpose-built facilities, combined with digital tools and digital work instructions, enable optimal production with reduced integration time.
